What you should know before purchasing rubber tracks

WHAT ARE ITR RUBBER TRACKS MADE OF

Rubber - steel cleats – continuous steel cables

I
TR rubber tracks are leading the way on the world market. Our tracks are known in the industry for their quality and performance. This performance is due to the construction of the rubber track. ITR tracks consist of a rubber compound with a mix of natural and synthetic rubber. This allows us to guarantee the best possible durability and lifespan of your new track.
In addition, the rubber tracks are also equipped with a continuous steel cable with a high tensile strength, without seams, to prevent errors in the cable connection. This also ensures that internal corrosion is minimized. Finally, we use steel cleats, which together ensure a strong and reliable core.

Helpful tips from ITR

How to maintain a rubber track and why the exact size is so important.

MAINTENANCE OF YOUR TRACK

  • Always ensure the correct tension on your rubber track.
  • Regularly check whether your chassis shows wear. This can cause your tires to wear faster.
  • Do not drive over oily substances, if it cannot be prevented, clean the rubber tracks as soon as possible.
  • Minimize exposure to the sun as much as possible. Too much UV radiation can make the rubber porous over time.
  • Try not to go through the bend too sharply or too quickly, especially on uneven terrain.

PURCHASE THE CORRECT SIZE

  • An offset in the rollers can cause an unpleasant ride with damage to the cable due to oscillation.
  • The wrong rail height can lead to incorrect weight distribution which can eventually damage the cable cover.
  • The wrong track width can cause the tracks to have too much lateral play relative to the centerline of the roller, sprocket, and idler. This can cause a rubber track to come loose.
