RECOGNIZING WEAR

The rubber can age due to UV light (sunlight). This can cause cracks in the rubber and increases the risk of breakage.

If the steel cables are visible and the treads have become flat, the track is worn and needs to be replaced.

If there are large cracks or damage in the track, it is possible that the steel cables are also affected. There is then a chance that the track will break.

The breaking of the steel dam/ridge can indicate a high impact, for example driving against high curbs.
